The Twestival (or Twitter-Festival) is global movement which mobilizes local communities in support of a local cause.
This year, Twestival is going to take place around the world on Thursday, 24 March 2011. In Hyderabad the festival will be held at Sweet Nirvana, Madhapur.
Since 2009, Twestival has seen over 200 cities participating in it and raising around $1.2 million for important causes like clean water and education.
For the Hyderabad edition of Twestival this year, the chosen beneficiary is a NGO called ‘Aashayein Foundation'.
You can join the movement by:
1) Grabbing a Ticket for the event.
2) Volunteering at the local event.
3) Donating.
4) Sponsoring or contributing in-kind.
5) Tweeting, Blogging or Promoting the event.
