Sabarimala to Hyderabad – Sabari Express – Train No 7229

The most famous pilgrimage destination in Kerala is Sabarimala.
The Sabarimala pilgrimage begins in the month of November and ends in January and attracts pilgrims from all parts of the country and abroad. A lot of pilgrims go to Sabarimala from Hyderabad every year.

Mandalapooja (Nov.17th) and Makaravilakku (Jan.14th) are the two main events of the pilgrim season. The temple stays closed during the rest of the year except for the first five days of every Malayalam month and during Vishu (April).

Pilgrims set out in groups under a leader, and each carry a cloth bundle called “Irumudi kettu” containing traditional offerings. The easiest route is via Chalakkayam, by which one can reach the banks of the river Pamba by vehicle. Pamba is the main halting point on the way to Sabarimala. From here one has to trek 4 to 5 kms to reach the temple.

Temple closes, after the season, on 20-01-2009. This is immediately after the Pandalam Royal Representatives pay obeisance to the Lord at 0700 hrs on 20-01-2009

A SPECIAL VISHU GIFT FOR EVERY AYYAPPA DEVOTEES…

This year, Increation Media Entertainment re-defines the concept of Ayyappa songs. This album celebrates the confluence of minds and prayers in their purest form.

Saranapadham is the first in the unique series of products that Increation is bringing out to depict the true essence of Indian tradition and culture.

The combination of Sharreth , Kavalan Sreekumar and Sankaran Namboodiri, the best in the genre of classical music, have come together to create this amazing product. This is the first time in the history of Ayyappa devotional songs that these great legends have joined hands for this album.

Mochita, a State award-winning compere has written 8 melodious songs that captures the real essence of pilgrimage to Sabrimala. Vishwajith, one of the most talented music directors of the present generation, has composed the original score for Saranapadham. He has the ability to convert words into soothing music. One of the songs in this album is sung by children. They reach out to Manikattan as a friend, a playmate, a guide and a protector.

Saranapadham is unique in many respects. The cover of Saranapadham speaks for itself. It gives a true feeling of the journey taken by the pilgrims. It shows no matter how strenuous the climb to Sabrimala is the pilgrims are always focused on their Lord amidst the mist and the dangers of the climb.

You can listen to all the songs. Also please note that this Audio CD is only available through Direct booking through our Website
